Valukoda is assisting a client, an innovator in the health and wellness space, with hiring a product manager. The purpose of this position is to help define and lead the innovation of the overall experience of the client’s customers by balancing business goals and customer needs. In addition, this position will be responsible for owning and delivering products and features that improve the health of customers and provide a measurable impact for employers and health plans.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive the product roadmap and definition for new and existing products through testing, data analysis, and research
• Empathize with customers in order to identify issues and opportunities that impact the overall experience
• Work with user experience designers to create plans and designs that satisfy your vision for the chosen innovation ideas
• Define business requirements in an agile development environment and work closely with the technology team on execution
• Assist with user acceptance testing to ensure development meets expectations
• Communicate with other product team members on project status, pertinent issues and decisions
• Communicate product initiatives, priorities, and needs to leadership and the broader organization when needed
• Develop great working relationships with other teams including Technology, Project Managers, Customer Care team, etc.
• Monitor all key metrics for each innovation post launch to ensure it is achieving its goal(s) and to determine if future enhancement is necessary
• Attend meetings and seminars as necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must be exceptionally curious about participant behavior, needs and thoughts
• Must be able to synthesize input from multiple sources (analytics data, customer insights, technical feasibility, legal consequences, etc.) in decision-making
• Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with project managers, designers, technologists, and executives
• Must possess excellent communication skills to communicate priorities, dependencies, and get buy-in
• Possesses the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to learn and utilize advanced technology associated with job functions
• Be a self-starter who can complete multi-phased projects independently without supervision
• Working knowledge of web and mobile app technologies is preferred.
• Experience with prototyping software for wireframes and mockups is preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: College degree required

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in product management. Knowledge of user experience design process and ability to contribute at any level.
