Director, Marketing Operations

Valukoda is assisting a client, an innovator in the health and wellness space, with hiring a marketing operations director. The marketing operations director will play a vital role on the team and lead the marketing ops group with program management, marketing performance analytics, and will partner closely with the CMO and sales leadership. This role is pivotal to achieving pipeline and ROI targets. A strong understanding of demand-generation, buyer journey definition, and sales pipeline management is required. This marketing operations director is a servant leader, someone who not only supports the needs of the team, but a person who thrives on identifying and chasing opportunities to accelerate the business.

As our marketing operations director, you must be passionate about building a brand that supports strategic goals while creating a collaborative culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prioritize data in decision making and performance management analysis to execute and optimize campaigns for reach, awareness, engagement, and conversion
  • Develop marketing funnel programs focused on driving new and returning consumer pipelines to accelerate the consumer’s journey and increase volume
  • Create optimization model and strategies for email marketing, nurture streams, segmentation, and lead scoring and grading, which includes data collection and enrichment, best practices, and processes, and creating scalable systems based on implicit buying signals and customer profiling
  • Manage all team members of the marketing ops team including marketing data analyst and digital marketing manager
  • Work with marketing data analyst to ensure marketing database strategy is being implemented, ensuring cleanliness and data integrity while implementing a mid-market and enterprise segmentation strategy and integrated programs including landing pages, emails, forms, and digital tactics
  • Identify and execute new processes that enable marketers to be more effective in their day to day work, including list uploads, connected campaigns, rendering, automation rules, suppression lists, completion actions, ‘post send actions’, etc.
  • Oversee and lead A/B testing and other data driven research techniques to better execute strategy and continually improve the consumer process
  • Ensure websites, landing pages and digital channels actively promote demand generation content and campaigns, while all being tracked through our marketing automation tool
  • Monitor and analyze daily digital traffic and social media activity, campaign, and channel performance metrics to extract actionable insights, determine optimization opportunities, and report on value of efforts – while ensuring we track the right metrics across all programs
  • Create data driven marketing model where all leads are tracked through Salesforce to ensure weekly reporting and KPIs at the individual salesperson, sales team, and client levels
  • Responsible for performance management analysis and creating a reporting structure for all marketing efforts by defining trackable benchmarks
  • Recruit an agency and then work with them collaboratively to evolve Salesforce operational efficiency and fine tune existing in-house Salesforce admin staff along with their processes
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance
  • Work closely with the senior level leaders to ensure strategies are developed across the organization in support of the overall mission, vision, and goals

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Self-starter with outstanding leadership and planning skills
  • Experience with lead scoring and grading
  • Proven track record of directing and tracking programs that build engagement and increase sales
  • Ability to formulate analyses independently to transform data into actionable information
  • A strategic thinker and highly organized with the ability to prepare and manage budgets
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology landscape, measurement, and attribution approaches
  • Excellent oral and written communicator with strong technical aptitude who remains abreast of marketing business trends
  • Working knowledge and experience with CRM and Marketing Automaton tools such as Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot, Sugar, etc.
  • Working knowledge and experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Sprout Social

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or Masters in a related field

Experience: 8 plus years of sales and marketing experience required
