Director, Data & Analytics

Valukoda is assisting a client, an innovator in the health and wellness space, to hire a director of data and analytics. Under the general direction of the CTO this position is accountable for leading the Data Team to deliver data-driven insights to the business, work with leadership to build and sustain a data-driven decision-making culture, and manage the development and scaling of data warehousing, analytics, and reporting infrastructure.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Data Team – develop and own team roadmap, establish strong team culture of quality and collaboration, develop and manage leadership
  • Work with leadership to establish a data-driven culture – identify and track KPIs, make decisions and evaluate performance with data
  • Marketing analytics – track channel performance, acquisition, retention, LTV, CAC, and more with the goal of improving Marketing performance, identify new Marketing opportunities with data-driven insights
  • Product analytics – develop strong understanding of user behavior, use A/B testing to support product development
  • Research insights – work with Chief Medical Officer to develop insights for use in peer-reviewed medical journals
  • Data infrastructure – scale data warehousing and analytics infrastructure to provide a rational, high quality data model for the business based on data from a wide range of sources
  • Data science – identify strategic opportunities for the the application of data science, machine learning, and AI

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field

Experience: 6+ years in data analytics, 3+ years in a leadership role,10+ years of Data Modeling experience, delivering logical models. 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Experience with AWS Redshift is preferred.
