Content Manager

Valukoda is assisting a client, an innovator in the health and wellness space, with hiring a content manager. The content manager is responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and delivery of digital and print content across all our channels. In addition, this position will play a key role in the success of our inbound and outbound marketing campaigns. The ability to apply data analytics to personalize and optimize content. Interacts with C-level team members and build new opportunities across our client engagements.

This individual will be responsible for creating content for marketing materials, product descriptions, press releases, blogs, participant emails and more. Able to create copy for multiple audiences including businesses that offer the wellness program as well as their employees who will participate in the program.


  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create an integrated content marketing calendar to successfully evangelize the brand and positively impact lead generation and traffic goals
  • Lead efforts to identify new content communication opportunities, repurpose existing content, and surface other creative ways to establish more meaningful user experiences
  • Serve as marketing leader that owns collaboration and content strategy alignment between key internal stakeholders, industry professionals and thought leaders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure copy meets strategic objectives, business and legal requirements, and digital principles
  • Conduct market research to supplement information provided by SMEs and work with SMEs to create thought leadership content, including: blog posts, bylines, white-papers, infographics, video scripts, case studies, etc.
  • Copywrite and/or manage group of contractors to copywrite marketing content and sales collateral, including: sell sheets, print ads, webinar slide decks, sales presentations, microsites, landing pages, speaking engagement scripts, etc.
  • Create briefs with full outline details for copywriter contractors and then edit, proofread and improve content and marketing materials
  • Lead creative brainstorming and collaboration with graphic design team to ensure brand consistency and edginess to visually paint the story the content needs to tell
  • Supports Digital Marketing Manager with social media, creation of display ads, curation of digital content, etc.
  • Work closely with outside agency to support PR and media relations
  • Act as key partner and advisor to marketing leadership for internal Corporate Communications efforts ensuring consistent, frequent, transparent and impactful communications throughout the organization


  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate and strategize with SMEs, sales and product stakeholders successfully and respectfully
  • An understanding of how to structure a story and explain concepts using clear everyday language
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to convey concepts creatively, logically, and concisely
  • Understanding of industry is preferred


Education:     BA/BS required.  Degree in Communications or English preferred.

Experience:    Minimum four years of experience in related field. Deep knowledge of content production for digital, print, or broadcast channels preferred. Understanding of content marketing tactics, such as SEO, digital advertising, and social media marketing
