Business Analyst

At Valukoda business analysts are integral parts of our project delivery team. They are responsible for working closely with the client and delivery team to create solutions to complex problems facing our clients.


  • Evaluates and documents client’s business processes, requirements, and software acceptance criteria
  • Great at working with clients to elicit requirements, often anticipating requirements that are confirmed with the client
  • Able to design, optimize, and re-engineer business processes
  • Conducts meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings with delivery team and client
  • Ability to document requirements in a variety of formats, including user stories
  • Ability to document requirements as use case diagrams
  • Effectively communicates at all levels of the organization
  • Conducts requirements analysis to ensuring solutions meet business needs and validating that gaps in requirements are addressed
  • Partners with development team to conduct quality assurance testing
  • Plans and leads user acceptance testing
  • Experience participating and/or leading change management efforts
  • Updates, implements, and maintains procedures
  • Prioritizes development activities based on business needs and requirements
  • Serves as a liaison between stakeholders and the delivery team
  • Manages competing resources and priorities


  • A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Advanced technical skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
  • A track record of following through on commitments
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
