Associate Product Manager

Valukoda is assisting a client, an innovator in the health and wellness space, with hiring a associate product manager. The purpose of this position is to help with the definition and development of the overall experience of the client’s customers by balancing business goals and participant needs. In addition, this position will assist in delivering products and features that improve the health of our participants and provide a measurable impact for employers and health plans.


  • Assist the product managers in driving the product roadmap and definition for new and existing products through testing, data analysis, and research
  • Empathize with customers in order to identify issues and opportunities that impact the overall experience
  • Work with user experience designers to create plans and designs that satisfy the Product Team’s vision for the chosen innovation ideas
  • Define and document business requirements, product specifications, wireframes and acceptance criteria in an agile development environment and work closely with the technology team on execution
  • Assist with user acceptance testing to ensure development meets expectations
  • Develop surveys, polls and other feedback solutions to assess participant feedback and drive further innovation
  • Communicate with other product team members on project status, pertinent issues and decisions
  • Develop great working relationships with other teams including Technology, project managers, customer care team, etc.
  • Monitor all key metrics for each innovation post launch to ensure it is achieving its goal(s) and to determine if future enhancement is necessary
  • Attend meetings and seminars as necessary


  • Must be exceptionally curious about customer behavior, needs and thoughts
  • Must be able to synthesize input from multiple sources (analytics data, customer insights, technical feasibility, legal consequences, etc.) in decision-making
  • Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with project managers, designers, technologists, and executives
  • Must possess excellent communication skills to communicate priorities, dependencies, and get buy-in
  • Possesses the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to learn and utilize advanced technology associated with job functions
  • Be a self-starter who can complete multi-phased projects independently without supervision
  • Working knowledge of web and mobile app technologies is preferred
  • Experience with prototyping software for wireframes and mockups is preferred


Education: College degree required

Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in product management. Knowledge of user experience design process and ability to contribute at any level.
